Holes in the rear lights cover

Re: Holes in the rear lights cover Very strange phenomenon as the reverse lights would usually not be on for an extended period of time... but either way you probably only need to replace just one time!

    Steering Wheel Emblem Replacement

Re: Steering Wheel Emblem Replacement On my previous ride, it tarnished over time under the clear lacquer. a bit annoying when one pays so much for the car - our previous older beemers don't have such problems.

    Water condensation in LED headlights

Re: Water condensation in LED headlights Probably a bad seal in the headlights - hope the replacement fares better. More common in the foglights than the main headlight assembly. Agree not acceptable on a new car!

How will the COE affect new cars from PML?

Re: How will the COE affect new cars from PML? Yup - Porsche interiors are really utilitarian and nothing fanciful. Need to step on the pedal to hear the flat 6 and experience the joy :P

    Help! I dented my 528i

Re: Help! I dented my 528i Think that's the wise decision - better choice to live with PDR and slight imperfection than panel beating and respray, especially since your car is so new. Nothing like original paint on metal parts unless the condition is really bad. Bumpers I am less concerned :)

    Alpine BMW HIFI upgrade kit

Re: Alpine BMW HIFI upgrade kit not sure but don't so. They will replace the two front plastic door trims so that the tweeters can be housed. The amp will be placed in the boot under the carpeting. PML estimated 2 days to finish plus programming, but it was done in one day.

    My E90 320i Repair Journal

Re: My E90 320i Repair Journal Agree - just have to price in the maintenance requirements and factor in the time and effort. As there are so many cars on the road, there should be a lot of information to make it more predictable. Worry-free (relatively) means you have to buy at less than 3...

    Alpine BMW HIFI upgrade kit

Re: Alpine BMW HIFI upgrade kit The rear speakers sounding first is really not a big deal - can easily get used to it. Biggest improvement is having tweeters for proper treble and proper bass from the underseat subs due to more power. I guess you can always get a better result...

    My E90 320i Repair Journal

Re: My E90 320i Repair Journal Unlucky or E90 not really suitable as a high mileage work horse? Guess with the launch models at 6 years old, can start to see what common problems there are now.

    E90 320i engine top overhaul

Re: E90 320i engine top overhaul Yes I was told the usual rule of thumb is change rotors every other pad change. With my current ride, the dealer's SOP is to change rotors with pads everytime - front and back = almost $3k a pop. Nearly fainted when i was told... For stock brakes i've not...

    E90 320i engine top overhaul

Re: E90 320i engine top overhaul Quite high leh :) My E90 mileage was about 12,000 km a year so I only encountered the water pump failure and the very loud radiator fan problem up to the time i sold it at 4.5 years old (about 53,000 km). Brakes never had to change. The annoying problems...

    Angel Eyes Headlamps Questions

Re: Angel Eyes Headlamps Questions Yes it works and can be done - but if you want LTA certification you will have to do it at PML (and not sure if they will then ask you to fit the pre-LCI bi-xenons instead of the LCI ones).
