heres mine 523i dyno test done at st power but the figures are not as good as 523kw stock dyno results and mine is not exactly stock car.will tell a bit more later after you guys help me assess as i know nuts about dyno charts.

why is at wheel only 117hp is something not right?how much different are we suppose to have from engine and at wheel percentage wise

there should be another graph that is not a wheel (think its at crank)...

auto gearbox sure got power loss... therefore loss at the wheel is expected

my previous 325 cabrio (rated at 192bhp) only delivered 134bhp at the wheel...

On wheel figures sound reasonable taking into account how much power an autobox zaps.

i think its pretty realistic the dyno u got at ST Powered...
I got my car dyno before the HIOP, and to my surprise.. my BHP was only 241 or 245.. (can't remember exactly)... Its like 10Hp over loss from the claimed 258HP by BMW...:yikess:

But my torque increase from standard, by around 30~40Nm.... as i already have quite a few things in the car....

Seetoh did mentioned that due to my Sprint Booster, the dyno guy had a bit of hard time trying to get the RPM point.... No sure if any bros that did dyno, experienced the same thing...

My take.. ban them again.. they got banned for a reason right??...

Yes another good point I went with HIOP or more like J4C for 2 other reasons ( FYI I just found out the brand of SW yesterday via you guys)

1. Local support
2. Ease of reflash ( I saw the post about finding Rob that got me a bit worried)

Again I'm not for or against any brand / any dealer just the ease of the whole process that I'm looking at.

To conclude can we have another 523 remap and compare the result....

Another 523i coming up on Tuesday.

Can you feel the 30 bhp ???
Honestly I don't really care about BHP its more the driveability..
Yes the car drive better and easier to move off the line ( compare to stock)... But it is faster Yes but it is fast I say No relative even to my Audi A4 1.8T.
Dyno dun lie, take the relative figures and be happy...

You will not feel the huge surge.. its only 30 BHP over 1.5 ton car...
Guys interested please do not set too much expectation.
Its not like turbo charged car where when you tune your boost from 1.3 to 1.7 bar kind of surge.


Do I like it ? Yes

Worth the money ? BIG Yes

Fuel consumption ? Managed 500KM on mylast tank with 1 dyno run

Any more mods on your 523 ? No bone stock

Bring to track and try ? NO NO NO

Why not do DMS ? Brand mean nothing to me.. I bought the HIOP even without knowing the brand its the local support I want, if any problem easy to flash back original.

Price ? 1,800

Hope I did not miss out anything.

BTW is Shaun SG still on this forum ?
