Then when test second car how to know or identify HPFP (what does this mean ?)
Is this the O2 sensor problem thing ?
Fixing HPFP problems would be like spend how much ?
At least can work out my maths when looking for second hand since brand new is too ex for me ..
kenntona;758559 said:(1) You cannot identify HPFP issues before hand. HPFP = high pressure fuel pump. Can occur multiple time on one car and none on another.
(2) Not O2 sensor related
(3) Damage for a full replacement = $1200 parts + labour thereabout.
are there any other parts other than the fuel pump to replace?kenntona;758559 said:(3) Damage for a full replacement = $1200 parts + labour thereabout.

I hear that there is always an over-heating problem on the N54 335. Is that the main reason that led to the premature failure of the HPFP? Will an additional oil cooler solve the problem?
Thanks

Not the overheating issue.
My N54 had an upgraded OC. Does not help that much. You wanna explore a secondary OC, need to check where to place it in the engine bay......
