Alert: Munich Triple Service Package Complaint

Re: Alert: Munich Triple Service Package Complaint

no FCAB checks, no belt checks, no radiator checks, no oil leak checks ....... car has many parts to not check.

Actually - How did MA ask you for the go ahead for the vehicle and scope check ? Or they just went ahead and charged you later ?

I've already said to state clearly what type of "checks" is not included only. Tire shine, biscuits consider checks?

At one end you tell me that "General Service Checks" is included, and at the other end you suddenly tell me "oh.....forgot to tell you that not all checks is included". Isn't that very contradicting?

Re: Alert: Munich Triple Service Package Complaint

Alamak! ALL companies are profit-oriented lah! Else how to survive? Hahah!

Let's take a look at this situation objectively. To be fair to MA, I don't think they are out to "scam" or "cheat". There are certain "extra" procedures or services that MUST be chargeable. We can't expect them to throw EVERYTHING in machiam like warranty for the miserable amount that they are charging, right?

But on the other hand, there are important learning points for MA in this fiasco too. Stuff must be explained to the customer properly before the sale mah. And also, naming their check something so generic like "STANDARD Scope" and "Vehicle Check" and expecting the customer to know it's not a "General Service" is really asking for it! Worse if they throw it in without first getting the approval of the customer. It kinda reminds me of the time some years ago when LJS upsized meals automatically without asking the customer first - and then charging them the upsized amount. Bad, bad, bad....

i felt that if the entity is really customer oriented will alway think of the consumer stand when they try to sell a product/package. 以人为本
this case, they sell a product not ensuring the customer understand the package is profit oriented.

although I agreed with Baby1M but I also feel that MA is not customer oriented.

the way they sell the package is just open to misunderstand/misperception especially to a layman like me.

For those of us who visits the forum regularly, I don't think we can be considered laymen if u compare us to the majority of BMW owners.

For the life of me, I surely dunno the diff between standard scope service and vehicle check..... shoot me.....

Re: Alert: Munich Triple Service Package Complaint

Can share with us why you have signed up TSP while there are many workshops out there able to do the same services?

Because MA is slightly cheaper? More convenient? Covered “All” checks? Got chio bu sales? Nice kopi? Next time when sell car, you have a better record because it is serviced my MA?

But at $210… IMO, its cheap so give and take…. But I agreed with sszone… clients should be well informed and given a choice to opt out this checks which will incur extra charges… but again, if your car kaput because they didn't check this and that, will you be happy?

Re: Alert: Munich Triple Service Package Complaint

  to iltdqd, clap clap. Nail into e head.

Re: Alert: Munich Triple Service Package Complaint

I think it's reasonable if anything not covered by the TSP be communicated to the customer and letting the person make an informed decision prior to committing. I bought the TSF myself and have utilized 2 instances and luckily nothing extraordinary came up.

Re: Alert: Munich Triple Service Package Complaint

I think it is fair for MA to charge for those system check and don't know what check that the CBS/idrive prompt, which should be like 3-4 years from a new car?

If they check and charge before the system prompt, then I think it is MA's problem.

I mean honestly, when you sign up for the tsp, you probably should already know that the oil package don't make much money, but when you come back for oil change and do other things like change spark plug, this filter that filter, this system check that system check....that is where the margin will come in...isn't it?

Re: Alert: Munich Triple Service Package Complaint

Honestly, TS case is not a biggie...but I am more interested to know more about this....

I also did a spark plug change, air filter change and micro filter change, and guess what? Engine light went up, engine busted 5min after leaving MA workshop! And yet, they even charged me S$100 for the tow truck? LOL

I always get a little irked whenever I come across a statement like this - especially so if it were from a mechanic. While the statement holds some truth, the converse is also to be considered... if check here, check there, and pay, pay, pay, then car kaput, will you be responsible?

Case in point:

I took a look at my bill just now, also have this one. I wasn't really bothered because I had a bigger problem at that time.

But I don't think that's the point here. The whole point is that proper communication to customer should have taken place - so that the customer can make an informed decision.
