Re: Blunder by Car Company

On a lighter note, hearsay hearsay some car dealer in dunno which country once registered an E350AMGM5 as an E250. Owner bang table got a S600AMGM9 for daddy as comp and they screw up again and registered it as S300. Being car dealer not easy as you can see, even the best of them get it wrong.

Jokes aside, good luck TS. Hope you resolve your matter soon.

Re: Blunder by Car Company

Yes yes. I remember. Hearsay somesay anyhow say, AMG250 also jio you for a race at 40Tiang. In fact it drove so fast you couldn't even see it anywhere despite you turning up 1/2 hour early to wait for him. Speed of light.

Yeah LTA can but I am not going to take a car which second hand on record...

will u accept it if they give you a discount? say 6 month- 1 year non-linear depre for making your new car a "2nd owner" one. If you are ok with it, can consider pushing for that?

Re: Blunder by Car Company

actually nobody commented that up till now its all ONE sided.........

Re: Blunder by Car Company

Now COE goes up ... so cancel deal is a loss to you ...

Ask them to get it done and pay you a lumpsum for daily transport ... or a claim basis till you get the car.

Failing which go via the legal manner. Talk to the CEO or management I think also no use... it is out of their control but it is an error on their account.

Talk to them too much also useless I think ....

hey MW

i wish man..basically they registered the my car which was meant to be picked up today under my brother's name, their reason is that the names were similar and they made a human errror. And they found out late yesterday and only informed me today. They are currently appealing to LTA to see if they can reverse the registration of ownership of the car.

How did they even get my brother's name and IC...cause we both test drove the car

Seriously...wth man...i have never heard of such a blunder in all my buying of cars in Singapore. How can something so simple have such a mistake?? and who is suffering now? Me as the client.

I thought they need the IC to register the car, I am curious to know how they get your brother's IC?

Re: Blunder by Car Company

Ah Lee and Ah Lim both go test drive the car
i guess both AL were served by the same SE
ALee no buy ALim buy (speak in hokkien)
happy happy register car under ALee
SE can't differentiate Ah Lee and Ah Lim in Hokkien?

But, when you test drive, they only make a copy of your ic, right? I always thought the dealer needs your ic itself for the registration? Or is that only when you also trade a car in? I always recall my dad's sales rep taking his ic for a day to settle the paperwork and driving over to return it the next day. Maybe I'm wrong.

Anyway, in this case it's quite a mess up since it even involves bank loans (which were correctly filed, strangely enough).

Everyone makes mistakes, most important is how they manage the resolution. And this dealer doesn't seem to do that well, from how the replies from forummers read.

Re: Blunder by Car Company

I always thought most in the forum saw this dealer as superior in service standards to PML. Maybe we need a new thread to discuss our experience with them. After dealing with them a few times, I really started to (horror of horrors) appreciate PML.

Just an update...Very impressed with the professionalism of the sales team and mgmt stuff on the swift handling of this incident. Yes I do agree with everyone that everyone makes errors but I dont believe everyone can provide such efficient service recovery.

In saying that, I am happy with the arrangement and solution given and looking forward to getting my new ride!!!!woot woot

Re: Blunder by Car Company

so what's the arrangement? got a free M135i?
just like the m performance exhaust "settlement" that i remember vaguely ... many come in complain up down left right until sky and earth going to break but never give detail the final arrangement

must keep quiet if not settlement voided?
