Re: BMWSG Sepang Track Day Sat 7 May
A few things to note:
1) I will hold a newbie briefing at 830am in the common room (The aircon room behind the pits)
2) The regular safety brief will be done at 845am.
3) When the brefing starts, the door will be closed. After the briefing, I will hand out the tags before you guys exit.
4) This means if you are late for the briefing, you will have to stay back for the next one, which will very likely eat into the track time which starts at 9am. At 825am please gather everyone and pass the word around the pits for everyone to come in. Its usually very chaotic but if everyone adheres to the timing it should be done very smoothly.
5) All first-timers must be brought out and orientated by an experienced trackkie for the first stint. Please tell me who your orientator is during the newbie briefing. I will also point out those who are available to assist as orientators during the brief, in case you need one.
6) We have a surprise door gift for the participants!! Shiok boh.
The track day will be a fun day. If there's anything we should be serious about, it'll be safety. We have 12 newbies this track day, so 30% of us will be new to the track. For the past track days, it's been very messy during the pre-track safety brief. Many people are late, or they are prepping their cars or chatting outside. So those who came earlier had to wait for them. Those participants who are not surfing this forum, will their friends please pass this message to them. Thanks..
