f and l cars could help pull chicks ?? i should get out more

But limits don't matter and track stuff is irrelevant to 99+% of supercar guys because they don't want to go to the track. To paraphrase sage Tanzy, it's all about pulling girls and how you feel pottering around the city at a slightly raised pace.

Besides, passengers can't feel steering loads or throttle response, etc. At the very least you need to let everyone drive laps :O

According to Shaun, SLK is the best!

I've evn changed my avatar picture.

Re: Bull vs Horse

yeah limits don't matter, in another sense:

once upon a time, i took a hairy-faced pansy (aka pebbles) for a 80% lap and he had his panty all bunched up gushing how i managed to throw the car around at the 'limit'. so, one could still infer a car's true capabilities tracking at a safe, leisurely pace ...

Re: Bull vs Horse

shaun, please try to be concise in your arguments ... repeat after me, "go buy a camry if you don't intend to track"

btw, i agree with u completely

Obviously I meant the limit under control (the edge), not over limit and in a wall. Idiots cross over the limit; they don't try and find the limit and drive it.

Perhaps Harold was just being polite? :D

Actually, I would never say something as extreme as that sentence about the Camry. It's just that I don't agree with the idea that enthusiasts cannot or will not find the limits of a car and therefore will never be able to decide which models are better.

Of course right at the limit and slightly beyond is where the very last bit of differentiation will take place, but far before that point there will be enough coming through in both feel and measurement to decide.

One can pick any 2 competing models in a given class and try this out for oneself.

Worst part is based on last L drive to genting it seems more L owners find BEYOND the limit due to believing they are heroes the minute they get behind the wheel.

I say get out on the track if u want to enjoy your car, otherwise stick to the speed limit. And even just spend one hour with Dataface at the track. Then come talk about one car handling better than another.

Otherwise a Camry will feel the same as a Koenigsegg to you (ok a Camry may be more comfortable).

All L owners are idiots on a suicide mission. Stupid traffic light orchard road racers. L stands for Loser. Except toto. And Ryan. And most definitely me. I'm the most awesome L driver. Plus I pull chics, guys, everything with my car. And my amazing personality.

Jury is still out on Vex unless he picks up the SV.

Re: Bull vs Horse

But in all seriousness.... There is one other key differentiating factor.

Ferrari has amazing heritage.

Lamborghini started out making tractors.

But if you want a car with wow factor, no car at the same or similar price point can ever give you the impact of a Lambo.

You can't lose with either. It's just whether you want heritage, or impact. Handling wise I'm sorry but very few of us will honestly be able to credibly differentiate performance or handling between the two. For that we have data face and toto.

No issue at all. I have gotten a lot of useful information out of this thread far more than in many other threads :)

Re: Bull vs Horse

I can only think of one big downside to Lambo aftersales service. It's that damn location at Teban Garden. It's in the middle of nowhere (i grew up there). Everytime i go collect my car at MA in the evening, i ended up crawling my way home in traffic. They really ought to move their showrooms/service centres to Leng Kee or something. It's so much more accessible.

Re: Bull vs Horse

i actually love the lambo showroom. not as crazy far as hong seh. n u get to drive a wee bit of ur car to get there. great parking etc. next time take west coast highway.

Re: Bull vs Horse

My friend went on E-bay and bought a Ferrari Key. and then he went to the local club, sat at the bar, and placed his key on the bartop. Garnering many glances from the ladies around, he proceeded to chat one up and work his charm.
At the end of the night, ready to bring the girl home, the girl excitedly asks, where did you park?
He then answers, its his policy not to drive to drink, let's take a cab instead.

I'm collecting different brands of car keys from now on.

Re: Bull vs Horse

I got it because I wanted to feel like Batman.

Unfortunately Shaun says I look like louhan fish, so that pretty much moots everything else.

Great points from Toto.

I do see that the club culture differs a LOT. L-owners tend to be very individualistic and very interesting characters, F-owners very club/friends focused/tend to consist of more professionals, a lot more interesting events/drives going on etc.

Don't get me started on west coast highway cos that's exactly what i took last Fri thinking that it would be better than AYE, but i ended up stuck on it for 1.5 hours. All that becos Maximus Racing won't send the car to my place but insisted on sending it back to MA following the Akra exhaust replacement. They are definitely not getting my business again!!!

Completely agree, gold pants, wild hair, and all...

At one of the L dinners there was this couple in their 50s from another country in Asia sitting at the same table of around 10 people total. Guy is really friendly but really Beng as well. Wife tai tai ish and fairly quiet. At some point she gets an SMS that must have contained something that really pissed her off, because she frowned at the phone and exclaimed pretty loudly "tsk!! suck my cock!!!!". True story. It was shocking but hilarious. I'll never forget it.

Lambo owners have ladyboy wife/girlfriend/mistress? :huhhuh:

You have Lambo too, that's why you were at that table?

I know Fezza owner who has celebrity wife.

Re: Bull vs Horse

Tanzy.... can you describe the aerodynamics and thermal dynamic properties of money leaving one's bank account when you buy a lambo?
