The last time it happened it was during a working day. Now its a weekend night, with the carpark probably full. Sure heavy casualties unless the management very on the ball and call for evac when the rain went on and on...

The people living in that bt timah condo better subscribe to a damn zhoon weather forecast system. The moment heavy rain just go and move their cars to upper level. Hahaha..

hard to say will drop how much. supply and demand. mkt forces will decide. but given that its a proven wet zone, it wouldnt be commanding usual prices thats for sure.

IMHO, there may be a knee-jerk reaction to the prices of flood prone / hit properties, but in the long run, no difference....up up up.

Marina Barrage completion suppose to prevent flood and not the reverse??? Something amiss here before marina barrage the flood situation is rare/not so serious and the "once in 50 years theory" is arguable but now???....or is it too much land reclaiming causing sea level to go up while the alps are melting???

Latest:: The Yaakob guy call press conference to rephrase his famous quote...."Its a freak incident that only happen once every 50 days" On second thought could be once every 50 hours and shit where is my advisors from metrological dept.....

The flood situation is getting worst...yesterday I was at Crescent Road (Mounbatten Road) and flood happend there and lunch at Bedok South Ave 2 coffee shop and saw so many huge water pipes pumping water from one side to the other side..never experience this before ....now I know why gov suddenly increase foreign workers quota - to station them all over spore to pump water during downpour...

This year NDP should showcase latest state of art Water Pumps and Water Scooters instead of the rumbling Scorpion tanks.
