E90 - problem again

[wt_know]

here is what happen

1. step accelerator ... car accelerate
2. then lift up accelerator as another car cut in
3. as normal, when lift up accelerator ... car jerk / jitter abit

4. then the horror starts, engine trembling ... up to a point like rocking
5. step on brake ... normally engine stable at 750 ... now fluctuate +- 50 and engine still rocking

6. drive sibei slow ... reach carpark ... stop and shutoff engine

7. after 5 mins ... restart ... engine still trembling and rocking ... no error code

sibei sianz .... hopefully tomolo still can start car and drive the workshop ...

problem - ignition coil? sparks? engine mount???

Sounds like valve tronic issue..

mine not just erratic ... engine rocking during stationary and slow speed below 20kmph

will not kaboom la just no power,when one ignition coil out of order mean only 3 of ur pistons are working instead of 4. that expains the loss of power

replace valvetronic sensor and motor ... whole set ... 2 months ago

Then it could be ignition coil. Try to ask workshop to change some used ones if they cant find the fault, since there is no error code.

I changed the ignition coils and sparks at one go, no fault, just part of my 100k km wear and tear program..

Hopefully just simple ignition coil issue...

problem solved - replace 4 x ignition coils & 4 spark plugs
mileage 80k

1st. valvetronic up lorry
2nd. ignition coil up lorry

based on trend, next item up lorry would be water pump
workshop advise me to watch out for overheating
but e90 has no temp gauge ... if water pump up lorry and on the road would be jialat

if the fan always on high speed after driving means something isn't right on the cooling system already. fan running on high is very loud and can hear inside cabin as well.
