problem solved - replace 4 x ignition coils & 4 spark plugs
mileage 80k

1st. valvetronic up lorry
2nd. ignition coil up lorry

based on trend, next item up lorry would be water pump
workshop advise me to watch out for overheating
but e90 has no temp gauge ... if water pump up lorry and on the road would be jialat :(

Bro, can advise on the damage$$$$?

Re: E90 - problem again

bosch ignition coils $65 x 4

spark plugs depend on what you want ...
i use nology silver (same like brisk silver but without transistor) $30 x 4

then final price + gst

placebo effect ... feel shiok and butt dyno extra 1bhp
to be honest i don't think spark plugs can really make a difference to a car that weight 1500kg

Just go to change the water pump as lifespan ar 80-100k, quite a cheap part to replace.
Wt_know, since u gonna change water pump @ 90k km, petrol pump + fuel filter also need to change at that mileage.

Re: E90 - problem again

ok ... will do that ... once touches 100k ... many more parts need to be replaced

Re: E90 - problem again

Replaced Water pump + engine mounting + gearbox mounting $850 + gst
at around 94000km

Re: E90 - problem again

next is to replace all the gaskets ....
at 100k+ mileage ... oil leak issue will surface sooner or later

Re: E90 - problem again

Agree
If COE not so high, we should sell off when approaching 100k km.
I spent total $15k on repairing my 523 when it was 5yr old, not all in one go but problems surface one after another

Re: E90 - problem again

$15K? holy smoky ...

Re: E90 - problem again

who wants E90 spark plugs? I got Volker plugs I bought @ R2D at ~$50 each I recall, sold my car after using it for less than 10k and those plugs been sitting in my store... damn solid plugs, immediately fell the pull. $20 token sum for all 4. Cheap cheap.

Actually, it is my display pic above. Exactly in that condition.

Re: E90 - problem again

Spec II or Spec III ?
Anyway $20 for all 4 is too cheap even for Spec II
