Hi guys,
I just ordered a set of Blackvue DR400G with power-magic, from a PI for my E60 523.
Just did a search & found so many problems with this (overheat, power died not work during parking, auto mirror, etc... List goes on, for BMW).
What should I do? Any reliable installer to recommend, thts familiar with BMW installation?

Thanks in advance.

I'm using the same model and probably bought from the same source..... Have been using it for a few months now, and so far have been happy with it. Yes, it tends to get a little warm, but that's not a biggy issue.... Just enjoy your purchase lah!

Haha. Only tht few ppl bringing this in yar.
Where did you install yours? I'd like to go to someone familiar with BMWs.
Last thing I need is the guy tapping from the wrong wires & affects my mirrors & no parking mode.
So in your case, the heating is not an issue?not too bad?
Btw, where did you mount the unit?

Apologies on the many noob questions.
Thanks!

PM me for contact.... Heating issue not as bad as it sounds lah.... Definitely not warm enough to cannot touch the unit. That said the mini-SD card does get quite warm when I eject it from the unit. Guess it's even warmer on the inside of the unit!

Unit mounted behind the rearview mirror lor....

What do u mean by power loss? Power in the pick up speed? There should not be any power loss to my knowledge and I install both front and back Blackvue HD 400G.

Re: Front video camera - for security at night and road accidents

hi , just want to ask if the problem between blackvue HD and BMW system "battery leaked" error is still happening for people who install powerbox for parking surveillance?

Re: Front video camera - for security at night and road accidents

It's normal... not really an error code. Battery drain is because it sense a source is using up the battery power. Can be safely ignored. I have it every day for 5 mths already.
