Hi everyone,
I have been thinking of what bigger rims to get,in doing so,have been looking online at overseas forums and when changing to 20" or 21" rims, many owners have lowered their cars. Some have used coilovers and others used springs. This will help those who feel their cars have the "suv look" after changing rims
Wanted to share that i intend to change the springs on my car to ACS (AC schnitzer). This may affect the suspension waranty on our cars hence have not decided.
For my older car,E93 335i,i changed to KW V3s but did not use the settings (bound rebound or height adjustment) even once,it was at the heighest setting and softest. The look was good (to me) but the comfort is a little harsh on roads where there is construction or road works. For that, i am considering on springs to lower the car.
Did not consider H&R/Dinan/Eibach coz their drop is more and not as comfortable. I am looking for a drop but not too much. Just for looks without sacrificing too much comfort.I know its subjective.
Anyone have any comments/advice/experience from their older cars for changing to springs instead of coilovers?
