if u wan full control from the consol u need the Y cable. what i did with my nokia previously was to use an AUX cable. if u do that apart from volume, the changing of tracks and shit has to be done via the phone. AUX cable only cost $30 bucks from Apple shop

Re: GB: iPod/iPhone Y-Cable for BMW

The seller is in the states but It doesn't really matter.

Quite simple and safe... cable arrived in abt 2 weeks. I buy alot of things from ebay, US currency is quite low now, so quite value for money for the purchases made in US. In fact you can be quite surprise the various things you can find from ebay for your BMW.

Seasons greetings to all.

Re: GB: iPod/iPhone Y-Cable for BMW

replica or not, I don't really know.

Cable is a cable, as long as it works, that's more important.

Replica or not it makes a difference, as your will have to compensate wit the quality of the audio.

i cant select songs from the steerring wheel, everytime i press up, it plays next song, and reverse the song before it, i was told wen you press album in the head unit, u can even use the steering buttons to move it up n down

flyboy;502633 said:
my is a E90 LCI with no iDrive but I still have a usb and a aux input.

Anyway, the cable works perfectly. I can select all the Ipod menu via the head unit, select the songs in a sequential manner via the steering wheel and the ipod is being charged at the same time.

Cheers!
