Actually for the 523i N52 drivers... after driving the F10 for a few months and getting used to it (came from E90 so the bigger size was a little intimidating at first) I am getting a hang of it... to an extent I will turn on DTC and have some wheelspin at the Lornie U-turn*

Here's the magic of the NA engine.... if you want some fun, just shift manually and hold the RPM above 5K... almost certain you will smoke a lot of cars in traffic.

* Don't floor it if you not confident hor... can be quite scary esp. if wet

Something like my previous IS250 except it's faster I guess.

My guess is 520i N20 is faster off the blocks which is why BMW put in turbo

Only way to test: put them side by side and run a 100m.

Turbo in IL4 is comparable to IL6 in term of bhp & torque. The upside is lower FC.

maybe 0.5km/l real world lower FC... trade off for the strawberry

Regulator only cares what the manufacturer quote & that is what important to manufacturer. Based on combined cycle of 528(N20) & 530 (N53), the diff is 1km/L.

I forget to mention about lower carbon emission as well.

Carbon emission my ass, regulators can smoke some carbon monoxide for all i care. Manufacturing, painting and shipping the car from Germany or SA and running PML's showroom aircon probably generates more carbon than the the new N20 engine saves in an entire frickin year over the N52. And that's for a computer tested cycle with all that auto-start-stop nonsense, not dudes who floor their turbo cars around town. If we're all going green we'll be driving Japanese cars.

First full tank on ECO mode for N20 F10 got a return of 780km on 61.5 litres.

Second tank on Comfort mode and 20" rims staggered profile got a return of 690 on 62 liters

Now third tank and trying to overtake every damn car on the road, return is 640km on 62litres but still on Comfort mode

Finally pass 2000km! Yesssssssss!

Only problem now is the 20" 245/35 and 285/30 profile make my car super understeer.

Feel like need 5 lanes to do a U turn!
