bro u really enlighten me liao! i believe for comfort wise, both A4 1.8T n 323i r the same but resale value wise......needless to say! Cos most of our locals doesn't know n appreciate Audi cars unless u r in europe!

No problem bro. But honestly, if i were you, i wud get the A4 1.8T as you can get reasonable mod potential. A more fun car if you would call it. :) But if you are a handling hardcore freak, BMW 323i hands down.

Precisely. And slap on an ABT kit, and you will look gr8. but test drive the car first and see if it suits you. Audis are known to be very stiff for their suspension.

323i or 325i? 325i gets my vote. 323i means you are on the right track--soundtrack that is....325i means the power matches the handling. Nothing is more frustrating than having a great handling car that's slow, if you like driving. Of course for brand entrants anything would do. I recommend my friends who wish to own bimmers for the first time to find a good used 3 litre, doesn't matter which series. There are so many greats....e46 330i, e39 530i (doasn't matter which of the two engines), and even e38 728i. For four pots I'd go japanese or italien, depending on reliability. Of course, 2.2 with SC is another terrific option...

If you do eventually test drive the Audi, you will notice (over the 3 series) a significant amount of road noise.... that would be my main gripe.... Other than that, the A4 is made in Germany whilst the 3 is made in S.A..... It does make a difference.... ask those who have owned the German made E46 vs the S.A made E46......

Good luck in your choice......

not only resale value, audi will look dated in a few years time whereas bmw is timeless. this might be subjective as i based on E36, E46 etc. they still look solid. but when i look back at A4, even the prefacelifted one looks dated.

anyone feel the same?
agree with hitmee...esp. the latest facelift to the Audi makes its front looks like a wide opened mouth

but i have to admit the new A4 if slap on body kit can look quite fierce. Couple with the engine mod, Pretty tempting. If only they price the 2.0FSI around 320 pricing, i guess no contest.

A BMW will always be a BMW. It will always give ppl the wow factor. If you like to have the wow effect, then better to get BMW.

as for 323 or 320, dun argue anymore, just get the 323i. :nehnehhh::nehnehhh:

Re: Need help deciding: 320I or 323I

actually after driving around with the 320 for 4 mths now, i do once a while think back and thought that i shd have plough in 14k more for the 323 that have meant about $150 more for my monthly installment...not exactly alot, which is why i look back and sigh.

well, what's done cant be undone so only can look forward to the next upgrade...E92 hee hee

Re: Need help deciding: 320I or 323I

Auto Motor und Sport just tested the new 320i direct injection against the current one. The performance and economy gains are quite significant. Roughly 1km/l better and 1 sec+ less 0-100km/h time. But it faces steep competition. The new C klasse is very very good indeed when I saw it overseas. In fact, the build is now up to Lexus levels, and better than the Audi's I have seen, IMO. Of course there is a new A4 on the way too.....
