any idea if PIs bring in manual versions of the convertible? I tried contacting a few and they dun seem to do it.

I understand that PML brings in the 156HP 120i.

However when i checked on BMW automobiles - website of the BMW AG, the 120i cab comes with the 170hp Direct Injection engine.

Any idea why is there a diff? models from diff countries perhaps.

Hope someone can shed some light on this.

The confusion in pwr for 2L has been numerous times.

For European Mkt: N43 2L DI 170hp
For other mkt: N46N 2L PI 156hp

Hope the above explain it all.

If you are looking for manual ride, PML may have to indent for you; provided they want to bring in at all.

You r rite about different country having different displacement cap. In the States, their 5 series minimum is 528, for example.

Think of it as branded apparels like Gucci. Local buyers will only bring in certain models and colors. Thats why there are many ladies carrying bags or heels that are not sold in Gucci Singapore boutiques.

They got it on their overseas trip lor.

But too bad, we cant bring back our rides

Standard 320i overtrade is 7000 now, was 10000 a mth back. Usually the SE are willing do do a couple of thousands more if you push

Discount will have to see your SE. 3er usually hard to go beyond 2K

I think your deal is not too bad, though can be better. But not by a lot lah.

Have you confirm your ride already? Wat color?

ok, to be fair to my SC, she gave me discount based on 139k and not 144k which is the revised listed price yesterday!

Sounds like a very good deal! But then again, I'm always have doubts about how the value of the trade in car is calculated. Have you checked with other agents how much they can offer you or your SE just based on paper value?

Yes, the trade in value that they gave for my used car is better than what the market is giving for my car body value now. About 1k better than the exporters.

frankly speaking, wanted to get the 323...but wife thinks it doesnt make sense to pay extra 20k for the same chasis. So, in the end, just get the 320. Besides, 320 gets more discount compared to 323. overtrade for 323 is only 6k compared against to 7k for 320.

So any ideas how to give the 320 more bhp??? can anyone bro shares what has been experimented so far? can i do them while under PML warranty?

once you touch the engine warranty will be void...........
it is true that 320i is under powered.............but not sure what kind of boost are you looking at? Frankly even if you can boost another max max 20hp for the 320i, youy won't really feel alot of different unless you have a sensitive butt.......

by the way (323i-190hp and 320i-156hp) 20k different is worth it as you are buying an inline 6 instead of a 4 cyc.....unless you are looking at the 318i (136hp) and 320i (156hp) then probably 20k might not be really worth it......

320i is a nice car so no worries bro.....................

Probably simple mod like: Air-Filter, Good Plugs, Velocity and a re-flash........should help with better response...........

Personally I would first change those ugly 16" stock rims into 17" or even 18" and the lame looking chrome pipe into dashing twin pipes . Talk about power increase only after your warranty expires. You will also learn a lot about modding here from the bros and pros.

Bro u are in deed very very lucky to get this price for a 320..... think with the COE gg up and up, and even with the price increased of ard 5k, u still can get this price is indeed very good liao. Think yr SE muz be waiting for your ride to meet his quota.

Btw I'm new but dont think 320 and 323 has the same engine leh. One is in line 6 compare with 320 only a 4. If u tested both, u will notice 323 engine is more refine but of cos that's the price to pay.

Care to share what other freebies u got from your SE?
