Thanks for the info guys. Had some free time yesterday evening so decided to go over and check. Go scout first. didnt want to let my dad wait. but yeah, turns out he doesnt need to go down himself, just bring the LTA letter and photocopy IC down will do, just like what you guys said.

But the lady at the counter gave me a form as well and said i need to fill it up. Its a form for changing of ownership, change of address, update of particulars so it wasnt too much of a problem as well. And she even gave me a free holder from BMW for contact info, accident emergency contacts and it has card holder as well. Not bad?

Bro, u went to Alexandra branch or the bukit timah one?

Pre-LCI e60 used to be hot last year but right now the trend is 2007 and 2008 LCI e60s.
More years left n acceptable prices.
The 04-06 ones probably leaves u 3-4 yrs to play with it max

actually can see the diff? only tail lights and head lamp difference only, and inside the arm rest for the windows control diff plus idrive also diff....else still ok...but LCI ones are def getting big demand now....hee.....

Wats the advantage of updating ownership with pml?

If you do not intend to send your vehicle to pml for servicing or repair, i don't see the point. Unless there is a recall and pml should be contacting the owner.

I find it is quite funny between getting a Jepun ride & a Bimmer.
Mileage is so critical for many who is looking for a bimmer, more or less many think low mileage car gives you less problem. I don't think so.
But of course high mileage car is more difficult to sell, but if the right pricing. Sure can sell

Aug 09 LCI E60 525 Mileage 125K asking: 125k Fully maintain by PML
Aug 09 LCI E60 525 Mileage 80k asking: 140K Fully maintain by PML

I will go for 125K mileage, 15k can standby for: rebuilt a new gearbox(by one of our site sponsor) @5K. More over most of the replacement parts have changed.

80k is when most of the parts need to be change...

I may be wrong.

Re: Resale E60 is so hot now

if not fully maintained by PML leh?

lets say fully maintained by BOSS or BVO or R2D?

U still go for the 125k km mileage one?

Re: Resale E60 is so hot now

That is what I think too... But I still buy low mileage car. Haha.

After replacing so many parts... Heart will pain if change car

Interesting questions....
Let's say the car is fully maintained by boss, BVO or R2D.. Fully maintain to me is this owner only go back to this particular workshop for servicing & repair, as this owner only trust this particular workshop. So even at high mileage, those parts that going to damage or damaged and need to be change mostly likely will recommend by the workshop and changed.

But of course regardless of the above which including PML maintain car, I will still request to bring to my preferred workshop to do a test before I commit. To minimise future damage cost.

I don't mind buying a high mileage car at a lower price if the owner take good care of the car. As to me, 15k different can standby for a new gearbox rebuilt and other problems if arise.
80k mileage is when most of the parts going to wear soon....

Just my thinking. There is no right or wrong decision make for getting the low or mileage car. As long as we feel this is the car we like, and don't mind the mileage. Go for it!!!!

A 3 series bro bought a car that is only 45k mileage, he spend bomb on repair cost. One lady owner ride. He is in this forum. Or may e he bought a lemon ride.
