My 5 yrs old E60 tried both 95 and 98 and the OBC still show the same FC lor...

If OBC show no differences, u may want to consider checking the OFC* :runaway:

Yes I used it on my E89 which had the N54 and also on my family's F20 without issue. Its the recommended fuel, don't let the kiasi mentality override the manufacturer's word:fineprin:

Where did you find BMW statement recommending RON95 fuel ?
My manual stated using below RON98 will not enable my car to get facory specified power and FC

its actually visible when i go top up fuel, right by the fuel cap. sticker

I think is the MIN RON specified rather than recommended.
But i may be wrong cos my BMW is E60 not new Fxx series

True .... but power peaks at 5800 rpm....that's when you need RON 98 to prevent knocking / pre-ignition.

N54b30 engine running at 5800 rpm in SG ...... maybe second or third gear for a 2 seconds ......

98 gives better gas mileage but not enough to pay for the increased cost. Power might justify the cost, though.

From what i know, 98 grade petrol is better for turbo charged cars .. for the long run.

the NS vouchers only can redeem petrol at Caltex..nb. I only pump Esso.

Just curious, what's the average FC for 7 year-old E90 323i? Mine is showing 13.4l/100km. Looks quite bad. I'm not even driving like a madman...

It looks quite normal. E39 520 nvr better than 8km/L on this island.
