Im new to d forum. I have e90 and f10. If u like smooth n fast resp go for 98 or else 95 is suffice for city driving. Both give same consumption but u hv to pay the price for 98.
In Sg, as if no need to overtake road hoggers.

If I drive a car w NA 3.2 IL6 engine,
will putting a BBK but pump 98Ron give better FC or should I remove the BBK(but i scared I cant stop my car, quite powerful creamy strawberry IL6 3.2 in time) and pump 95Ron?

by the way I also hear installing spoilers reduce drag and hence FC also improve.
For IL-6 3.2, driver should go to Seletar Airport to pump jet fuel. Better FC.

Re: Ron 95 or 98 for better mileage?

if the car's FC is alot higher than the official FC printed out by manufacturer, can i sue them for false advertising?

Is your method scientific?

Isn't active hybrid 3 currently the top of the line F30 variant (until M3 comes out of course)? TS buy a top of the line F30 and wanna scrimp on a few cents. I laugh until my balls shrink.

But someone who buys hybrids does so too because they want less fuel consumption for environmental or economic reasons too. Currently these machines are expensive but it doesnt mean that they are bought for the same reason as the m3. My 2 cents.

U can do that, only if you can drive the car under the same condition of the official FC figures... hope u get the idea I m implying.

Currently, top of the line F30 is BMW Alpina B3.

Not Activehybrid.

We are talking about BMW produced by BMW la. And must be from Munich. Pure breed.
South Africa 2nd class, not counted, some forummers say one.

Re: Ron 95 or 98 for better mileage?

hehe...indeed...like that might as well dismount and push the car already :D

BMW Alpina is almost as pure breed as ///M3. Most of the parts are assembled in the Munich Plant. Those related to BMW Alpina will be in Buchloe.

Do take note that BMW Alpina is an automobile manufacturer recognised by TUV.

BMW ALPINA FTW.

Re: Ron 95 or 98 for better mileage?

I am very sorry to say this but how does one quantify their driving patterns?

From our dealings with drivers from all sorts of versions of engines and rims, blah blah blah...... we get lots of responses on their mileage.

How does one quantify mileage? One's car with their personal driving habits compared to another guy's involves too many variables. How do you quantify expressway percentage? according to KM or according to total journey time?

Do you know that travelling at 10km/h in a large carpark can use up to 300mL of fuel? And that can be a large portion of the trip's total fuel usage if it was a short trip.

Try using your cars average speed when you compare mileage. reset the ave speed every tank and this will answer a lot of questions and set minds at ease. We had a customer that drives a e90 323 on 19" rims. He was getting 300km on 1 tank of petrol. We checked and check everything and at the end realised that his ave speed was just 22km/h. He did not stop to make phone calls while the engine was running. And when compared to his MB C180, which did almost 500km per tanks, driven the same way, he perpetually felt the E90 was a drinker. The owner still forgot that he was driving a 2.5L engine that needed fuel even though he was pottering around in industrial estates and car parks. Hence the 22km/h ave speed.

In any case, a virtually stock car is supposed to give the best economy for most drivers in normal driving situations. If you wanna mod then forget about comparing your 7+km/L to another guy's 9km/L. There is just too many variables...

Re: Ron 95 or 98 for better mileage?

Please try telling that to the FC thread starters and worriers!

Re: Ron 95 or 98 for better mileage?

Please do not park at some secluded spots and get intimate with the engine running.

Will affect FC one.

Rod and Nadia say one.
