Re: Unveiled! 2012 BMW 3-Series F30

assuming COE maintains at the current level, can someone estimate how much is PML going to price the F30 328 and 335 at launch?

:juggle:

Assuming omv of 38k and coe 63k.......min 195k. their profit margin min 45 to 60k unless lelong outgoing model then they quite happy with 20 to 25k profit. :shakehea:

Re: Unveiled! 2012 BMW 3-Series F30

$20k+ is bread&butter (ie: current 318/320) car proft margin ...

roadster/coupe/cabriolet/higher performance like 335i profit margin is much higher

Yes bro, the amount that I workout can be considered relatively conservative liow. Also they will also chut pattern such as preview price or early birds discount to gauge the response before official launch and if the responses are overwhelming then you can expect even higher price.:verysad:

here is the "front" comparison of F30 vs E90 LCI

Re: Unveiled! 2012 BMW 3-Series F30

no fweeling leh...other than the turbo engines and the 8 speed gearbox, there's nothing ground breaking.

let;s hope people all jump ship and i can get a e92 335 on the cheap.

Re: Unveiled! 2012 BMW 3-Series F30

a lot of car made has somewhat similarity
the f30 side mirror is very merc-like :(

Re: Unveiled! 2012 BMW 3-Series F30

+1, agreed

what happened to the sleek mirrors of the pre-LCI E90s.

Re: Unveiled! 2012 BMW 3-Series F30

F30 looks like its designed on a Friday by people rushing to the pubs. The tail is copied from the F10 and overall a downsize of the same.

...but I am happy cos it doesn't make the outgoing E90 look passé! In fact slight resemblance still there and may not easily be differentiated by few.

--- verdict: a disappointment ---

Re: Unveiled! 2012 BMW 3-Series F30

Yea if you observe BMW designs don't change too much, but if you look 3 generations there's a drastic change. Unlike merc or audi, the change can be completely off the charts.

Re: Unveiled! 2012 BMW 3-Series F30

I think BMW follows its model generation design so the different series look somewhat similar. When they take a departure and did the new 1-series, how do people react? Fugly, shit, disappointment, blah, blah, blah.

I feel that they did a great job for the 3-series. It follows the lineage.
