The owner told me its for turbo cars.
Though i only tried TRD engine oil for NA few yrs ago,i guess this Toms should be gd cos its very very ex!
I know my answer from u guys is not worth($368-420 each oil change) but sometime must try something new:p

Anyone using Caltex's Halvoline 5W-40 from our local Caltex station? Very little mention of this oil. It's slightly cheaper at S$99.50 as compare to Mobile 1 at S$115.55.

You can get Mobil 1 5W40 in Giant for less than $50/4litres..if you need 0w40, you can get from MX trading or Carfefour for less than $14 per litre...

I'm going to install engine oil cooler next month@boss.
Do i still need to use high grade engine oil?
Normal grade(mobil gold) can afford to change at 5k km or depends on mood,if i use high grade it must last me for 10k.
Although i will have cooler but there's still chances of topping up 1 litre engine oil warning before next oil change. At 5k the chances should be 50% lower or none(normally happens after 8k on my ex E60).

So far tried Torco, Motul & Liqui Moly. I think I like Torco best. Weight wise follow what your car manual recommend.

Manual states 30 weighted oil. Brand wise, manual doesnt state but the engine oil bottle shld state if it meets BMW standards.
