Re: Top up engine oil No effect at 5W40 BMW original engine. Don't know what happen. Siean already at this car. Trade in to PL & change new 520I F10 with good price. Got promotion. Getting the new car this coming Sat !

Re: Top up engine oil Today I go JB workshop M-One standing there to see they put 5W40 BMW original engine oil to the engine. This 520 engine only drink 4 and half lit oil. I just want to confirm black cover engine really need to use 5W40 or not. Will update once I get the result.

Re: Top up engine oil Mine recently bought 2008 520XL also need to topup but not as bad as yours. Went to PM & said this is normal. No choice go to JB "M-One" They advise that for 5 series Black engine cover use 5W40, Silver engine cover use 0W40 Will try next servicing change to 5W40...
