Hey Bro! I Just got mine 2mths back & its running fine till now!
Buying a car is like getting a wife, its like a gamble & a bit of luck!
On Maintenance wise, it's regular servicing & My personal advice is,it doesn't hurt to do a detail check on the parts car cause nowadays car dealers have lots of things up their selves.
love ur analogy of buying a car like getting a wife its like a gamble...haha
the ride i m eyeing has 4 previous owners...in 5 years....making me wonder why....is this common? does that imply there may be some problem with the ride?

next question...thinking of sending it to a workshop for inspection first before confirming the deal...
some bro mentioned its only $80?
called 2 workshops so far, one quoted $180 one quoted $100....but can waive if the repairs/ servicing done by them....
any comments?
Jus went to BVO to do the assessment. Found the following faults:
1. Radiator spare tank leaking
2. Front suspension arm no good
3. Throttle body no good, car pulling to LH
4. Front shock top mount / stoppers no good
5. Front pad n all n all tyres wearing, centre cup holder bad
No other major issue and car in good condition.
Above repair excluding tyres will cost ard $3k
I told the sales guy knock $2k off the car sales price for me and I will bear the remaining cost of repair n tyre change.

got other factor to look into too.....probably if you see one that you really likes but depreciate more, am sure you will buy too................( like nicer rims, nicer interior colour combi, etc etc )
* we only live once...........
cheersssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss
Then u tell him ... then dealer can make good the car ... cos when a dealer buy your old car he force you to sign that your car is in good condition...
So ask him to do the repairs bss BOSS recommendations ...

Like i said no problem to head any workshop to do ...
put it clear that as per BOSS workshop recommendation, there is a/b/c to be done due to wear and tear from previous owners. pay u 3k to be done at boss or the seller can do it at his own workshop a/b/c to be made good and you would do another inspection prior purchase.
the first inspection u done at boss seller should pay you the money... the final insoection if all goes well u should bear it...
1 K difference only? Looks like a no brainer, get the lower mileage one. But key thing is it has to be bought from PML as electronic servicing can be expensive.

Perhaps I wasn't clear. Car A has just been serviced by PML but Car B has not. Of cos based on mileage I will take Car B but I am worried if servicing cost will cost a bomb at the 50K km mark.
