Serious? Back to paper value car era again when every used car is only worth its scrap + coe rebate...but again those were the 10k coe days where buying a new car is so cheap that the used cars are worthless I thought?

Last June, i asked about trading in my '06 E60 for a new Jaguar XF/ XJ, and the AD offered just 7K above my paper value for my E60. I think situation should be worse now, for the used car.

So only route is to sell worthless used car and buy
another not so worthless used car cos dealers' car
always worth more than ours... sigh....

Correct, dealers always try to take in our used car comparing with scrape value (+ any overtrade" , but when they sell, they always tag with the current new car price. That is why nowadays, you see more direct owners selling in the SG Carmart

Dear Seniors,

May i ask any bros or sis got morning cold start gearbox jerk problem?

When i do my first stop after morning cold start at traffic light,

once i release my foot brake then the car jerk,

but if i use Park during the first stop then no jerk...

issit the gearbox going uplorry soon...

I got another new problem found on my E60...sob sob

When travelling on highway @ 80 to 90km/hr,

i can hear grinding sound something like metal joint rubbing sound even with all windows closed...

can imagine must be very loud outside the car.

May i know what is it causing the noise,

So wheel bearing up lorry noise is on and off issit...

Not every time moving will have the sound hor...

Change both back wheel bearing last month on my E60-Nov 2007 at BVO, To check on worn bearing, Hoist the the car up, roll the wheel and feel the spring with your finger if you feel the vibration then it confirm your bearing worn out, Good luck
