There're BMW mechs out there who act as the diagnostic tools tell them.
Then there're individuals who have a passion for their BMWs.
To squeeze every inch within safe limits, and then some.
To share that same knowledge with others - for the satisfaction of knowing that others have realised their true potential
Rodney is one such individual.
I'm glad to have met him.
I'm usually a skeptic when it comes to mods.
Not to mention a tightwad, after spending way too much on mods in the past.
Short of bolting on a turbo/supercharger. Followed by an ECU remap.
There's little beyond Intake/Exhaust mods that truly make a difference.
Often there is a closely inverse relationship between our post mod wallet weight.
And the performance of our butt dynos.
But this ignition upgrade. Coupled with Volker Spec IIs.
Ah... two words.
SMOOTH.
EAGER.
No hesitation like before, as the needle pulls along the rev range.
The engine just feels that more willing.
I'm anxious to take it to the open road, where I can push it even harder.
Our cars are by no means hot rods.
Yes. BMW makes the smoothest straight-sixes.
But they also make some of the best inline fours.
I think Rod's discovered a small gem here.
To wring out that lil' bit more potential from our Valvetronics.
Money well spent indeed.

Got both the mods that u mentioned...
And it has truly made the car more fun to drive.
Rodney not only provide mods that ACTUALLY work.. but at a reasonable price too.
On top of that... he's constantly ready to spread his knowledge on cars.
Honest and reliable.

Those are very kind words. I can only blush......
As for those who have yet to embark on this evil mod, the reviews here have said it all. So far there have been no negative remarks. The ignition power has increased and this leads to better driving torque.
This is one mod that gives you better torque.

Phil, heard robots can be taught new tricks... ha ha..
Anyways, guys, the ignition mods are working wonders for the 523i engines. I have fitted them onto 5x engines already and owners have given positive feedback..
Cheap, power inducing and reversable....

Rod, you have yet to reply me if I can buy the parts and get it wired up by my mechanic/ electrician --as my car is ni Melaka !!

Hi lennon, you can get the stuff from me and get your installer to solder it in but i much rather do it myself cos you've got to get the polarities right or the upgrade will dissappear in a flash..
Are you able to drive down to singapore?
