So.... the stretch that was removed - which had 4/5 lanes that linked AYE to Benjamin Sheares Bridege - now only has two lanes in MCE serving that purpose?

I dunno why they must rush to open something that is not ready....and 6.30 ch8 news quiet quiet on the chaos today.

Maybe its someones KPI - open MCE by 2014.

MCE looks more like a boring underground detour compared with the scenic drive on Sheare's bridge.
Last time only one speed cam at Fort Road. Don't how many are being installed inside the new tunnel.

Better to drive and look see look see during new year Eve or new year day as family outing so that u are familiar with our 4.2 billion expressway. Mother of all expensive highway or free way or express way. ....u name it

Just pray govt don't recover the 4bil from us via road tax / COE / ERP whatever, recover from land sales in the bay area better lol

better avoid MCE on new year ave ... sekali jammed at exit for hourssssssss ...
prepare drinks and chips can countdown inside the car

At least last time jam on ECP still can enjoy the view up from sheares bridge, now everyone's a tunnel rat inside the MCE, nothing to see during a jam lol!

Particularly when one is stuck in a jam on a special day like National Day or NYE, with a XMM in the pax seat and fireworks going off overhead.

Best if the windows are tinted really dark............

You can say that again ...... I used to open my ride's top when I know I would passing by that part .....

Before downgrade Sheares Bridge, got notice not to stop on d bridge to watch firework.

Actually it's the problem with the entire MCE expressway design that link to Marina Boulevard that causes the jam ...

ERP is necessary for the country. Nobody should expect smooth traffic for free until the excess backlog vehicles from the oversupply years of 2004-2009 get scrapped.

it did take a while today... but ppl were driving at 40km/h all the way...

MCE was smooth and free flowing.

it did take a while today... but ppl were driving at 40km/h all the way...

MCE was smooth and free flowing.

Alot of pple scare of driving in the rain or with sun glaring to their eyes..

Actually good thing about tunnel is regardless of weather; it be smooth..

I use KPE everyday. I notice the chance of accident is lower..
