I see bro pReTeNd3r asking in every different thread and post about 5 series. Just like how I started. MTL it's either 528 or the 523 or if money can afford then 535 or maybe M5. COE never coming down...

Yes u r right bro, i've ask around. Have not decided yet as still doing my mathematics.COE is damn high now.

if ve white 523i then i'll consider a use.

for nw will go test drive 520i and 528i and get a feel of it first.

By the way, i've not tested a 6 potter for bimmer..

I agree with you. Lots of bro in this forum say 6 potter is the best but i've never tested n drive a 6potter before that's why i don't know how it feels

I test drive both 523 (ppsl) n 520 (pml) recently. Personally find e 523 much better. Much smoother (or creamier) as most said. It's very obvious at higher speed.

First maiden post - 520 owners pls don't flame me

I also agree, the choice for me has always been between 528i vs 523i. Power vs refinement. Then again, u gotta pay the difference of 25 odd grand.

If u compare 520i vs 523i, the latter wins hands down in terms of sheer driving pleasure.

was choosing between 520 or 523. After test drive, the choice is crystal clear

st8800 (and the rest of the resident experts here) - thanks for all the posts! Went for test drive after reading all the "technical" comments on this related subject - they have been verified at least personally by me.. true to say the least

having settled thus internally... I will be getting a hopefully good used ride. Wish me luck!

My decision to get the 523 was made when I knew that the F10 will be using the 4 cyl turbo and PML had some overtrade promotion to get rid of the 523 for the arrival of the 520 and 528. Didn't have a chance to test drive the turbo versions as it has not reached SG shores yet at that time.

The low end torque from turbo cars is nice (especially for city driving), but based on the trends from Audi and Mercedes (all going to turbo), I know that it was the very last chance to get a 6 cyl NA car (and my first 6 cyl car!). There will be plenty of opportunity to get turbo cars later on. Bought the 523 and never looked back. Creamy smooth strawberry.
