Window Tint, which brand Huper Optik, Vkool, Cool n lite, 3M

Re: Window Tint, which brand Huper Optik, Vkool, Cool n lite, 3M

bro SAM, Vkool got some sort of promotion. it will fix up one door window (your choice) not windscreen, to let you feel. its FOC. if u don't like it, jus go back to them, they will take it off for u.

I put it on the front passenger side cos normal when I drove to work the morning sun shine through from the left.

premier uses VK75 for front half and VK70 for rear half. but our bimmer front is alr tinted so using premier would not be compliant, which is why J83 is recommended. so i used VK75 for front half.

for the rear, i like it to be slighlty darker, so its either K37 (slightly less light transmission; i.e. darker but also less heat rejection) or VK40 (more light but also more heat rejection). as we have blowers to the rear seats, i chose K37.

Gadget, could you post our tint here?

I park my ride out in the sun everyday... and even though my tint is the cheapest :) , there is still quite a difference in heat rejection. Any tint that u choose will give u that benefit.

thanks bro. noted. i guess so too. as my office car park are sheltered and i don't really drive much in the day. mainly weekends when go out with families. I took the trail film mainly for 2 reason. to observer the burble problem and scratch lines cause by winding up and down windows. the heat rejection I agreed most premium range of film should be more a less the same.

Re: Window Tint, which brand Huper Optik, Vkool, Cool n lite, 3M

acupunch, I believe most films are scratch resistance for winding up and down of windows. If we use VK70 for front screen, it will fail LTA right?

Re: Window Tint, which brand Huper Optik, Vkool, Cool n lite, 3M

yah... as mention in their catalog, its says X75 for windscreen, J83 for front 2 door. VK70 or VK40 only for the rear.

yes, VK70 for front will surely fail. even with VK75, mine alr falls short but i looking at tolong abang when inspection time comes since its only marginally off...in any case, think its worth it cos the J83 films are crappy

i meant that u will feel the sun's heat with J83 film as tho u did not put any film on. had that film installed on previous ride and the effect is not substantial

Re: Window Tint, which brand Huper Optik, Vkool, Cool n lite, 3M

Re: Window Tint, which brand Huper Optik, Vkool, Cool n lite, 3M

Re: Window Tint, which brand Huper Optik, Vkool, Cool n lite, 3M

so what heat resistance, which brand is the best? VKOOL? or can we conclude they are around the same?

Re: Window Tint, which brand Huper Optik, Vkool, Cool n lite, 3M

CNL's package has a premium package which has green tint. Did anyone check this out?

my verdict is not very scientific but think it's worth noting. sat in a friend's car when returning from lunch once, weather out there was hot and his car had Rike Cool installed. felt the sun's rays burning my arms. right after i reach office, i needed to run for a mtg and drove off in my car installed with VK75 front. all i can say is the rays were warm and not bitingly hot.

VK70 or VK75 has slightly green tinge too in case you havent noticed

Re: Window Tint, which brand Huper Optik, Vkool, Cool n lite, 3M

then go for VKOOL. period.

Re: Window Tint, which brand Huper Optik, Vkool, Cool n lite, 3M

ok... one final question on vkool, can we use x75 front windscreen & windows?

from Halim @ SIM MING, legal limits won't passed with X75 installed on the 2 front door. its only for the front windscreen.
