200bhp for our car is sure tempting... More power in the car means I will hv a tendency of putting it to the test. So kena speed ticket also bo pian. However, all being said, Most imptly is still SAFETY!!!
You are seldom going to test the 200bhp since it happens at the higher rpm.
How often our gearbox will let you hold the rpm before changing up?
The thing that benefits most is the torque.
Imagine 300Nm of twisting force from 1500rpm - 4500rpm
Compared to 250Nm. Even the new Merc B200 has 250Nm but the drive is another thing.
300Nm is equivalent to the twisting power of the former NA bmw 330. If you had driven that before, you'll know how nice that car drives. Even then that torque is only available from 3500rpm.
In other words, you can dispatch slow pokes in a blink of an eye without breaking a sweat.
It also means you see a gap, you can safely slot into it. No sweat.
It means that you need less effort to get to cruising speed ===> better FC
It means all round improvement in 'SAFETY' which is everyone's priority yeah!
So yes, pls go piggy UNLESS you still DON'T SEE the 'REAL' benefits you will immediately derive.
